Broncos lose 23-10 to the New York Giants

The Denver Broncos suffered a tough loss Sunday night to the previously winless New York Giants, 23-10. After a very frustrating first half, it seemed as if they might go into halftime just down seven, but Trevor Siemian threw a pick six to Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins that took all the wind out of Denver’s sails. They never recovered. The second half was more of the same, and only a late touchdown made the score seem more respectable. The Broncos also struggled for the first time this year on the ground and rushed for just 46 yards. They are now 3-2 on the year with the next three games on the road.

How ‘Bout Them Cowboys?

The Denver Broncos just humiliated the Dallas Cowboys 42-17 and sent a message to the rest of the league that they are a serious contender. In what was supposed to be a close game in the eyes of many, turned out to be a soul-crushing nightmare for the Super Bowl hopefuls from the NFC. Denver won every single phase of the game. Trevor Siemian threw for four touchdowns and the Orange Crush defense contained the vaunted Dallas running attack to a mere 40 yards rushing. The Broncos move to 2-0 on the season and will look to keep things rolling as they had to Buffalo next week for a date with the Bills.

Broncos Beat San Fran, Name Siemian Starter

Two days after beating the San Francisco 49ers, Denver has named Trevor Siemian the starter for the upcoming NFL season. Trevor clearly outplayed Paxton Lynch in the two preseason games. Lynch will now look to watch and learn what he can from the sidelines as Siemian’s backup. Trevor has a history of injuries, so Paxton will need to be prepared on a weekly basis.

Denver Wins First Preseason Game

The Broncos are still undefeated this preseason, well okay they’ve only played one game. But still, 1-0 is a  good start. Denver beat Chicago Thursday night 24-17. It was Vance Joseph’s first game as head coach. Many starters, especially on defense, either didn’t play or had limited snaps in this one. Denver will once again be on the road at San Francisco a week from Saturday.

Jamaal Charles

This past May, The Kansas City Chiefs let go of running back Jamaal Charles and he signed a one-year deal with the Denver Broncos. Charles, who suffered a torn ACL in 2015 and played in only three games last year before getting a second knee surgery on his meniscus, will have a shared role in the backfield this year, but will also have a little extra motivation driving him. He feels that Kansas City gave up on him too early and, at age 30, can still keep up with the younger players . It also just so happens that John Elway was his favorite player growing up and he’s always wanted to play for Denver. If Charles can stay healthy, this could end up being a great situation for Denver who can use some veteran leadership on the offensive side of the ball and a game changing offensive weapon to help their young quarterbacks. Here are three incredible facts about Jamaal Charles’s career, 1. He has the NFL’s second all-time yards per carry record for running backs of 5.5, 2. He is the all-time leading rusher for the Chiefs, and 3. He holds the Chiefs single game rushing record of 259 yards. If he can stay healthy, the Broncos got one hell of a player.
